A satirical comedy based on the literary works of Mikhail Zoschenko. The film consists of three short stories about provincial life of the country of Soviets: “Crime and Punishment”, “A funny Adventure” and “A Wedding Incident”. The action takes place at the end of twenties and at the beginning of thirties but the events the film is laughing at, i.e. dullness, hard drinking, aspiration for profit and a lightminded attitude to life are still existing quite well and everywhere.
