Dejan Lazic

Born in Zagreb in 1977, Dejan Lazic began piano and clarinet studies early. At age 10, he won his first of many competitions, garnering prizes for both instruments. In 1990, he made his first recording, with Solisti di Zagreb, of Mozart's Clarinet Concerto KV 622 and Piano Concerto KV 449. Dejan is also a successful composer. His Conversazioni for clarinet and viola has been played throughout the world; his first string quartet was composed for Rostropovich's 70th birthday gala. Dejan first appeared for Arts at Argonne in November 2001.
