Antonio Guarnieri

Antonio Guarnieri (Venice, 1880 - Milan, 1952) - conductor.

He studied the cello in Venice and then went on to study organ and composition with Enrico Bossi.
He began his concert career as a cellist in the Martucci Quartet and then devoted himself to conducting, soon achieving international fame that led him to conduct all the most prestigious orchestras in the world.
He also wrote two operas and various symphonic pieces.
